Who should attend Mind Heart Connect?
EVERYONE in the community will benefit from attending this event.
Professionals in primary medical and allied health disciplines including general practitioners, psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, psychiatrists, counsellors, performance and coaching experts will particularly benefit. Students and recent graduates from psychology/health/medicine related disciplines will also learn and benefit.
Whether we’re leading a team, a classroom or a family, we can all benefit from mindfulness/mediation, mind-body techniques and using the skills of EFT/tapping promoting self-awareness, authenticity and compassion.
Do I get a Certificate of Attendance for CPD Hours/Points?
Everyone who participates in the event will receive a Certificate of Attendance via email indicating hours attended. Certificates will be completed using the given name at the point of registration and payment. This may be used for self-recorded professional development requirements.
Why has EFT/tapping been chosen for some of the workshops?
EFT means “Emotional Freedom Techniques” and is a powerful self-help method. EFT uses elements of Cognitive Therapy and Exposure Therapy, and combines them with Acupressure, in the form of fingertip tapping on acupuncture points.
Over 26 clinical trials published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals have demonstrated that EFT is effective for phobias, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, pain, and other problems.

Is EFT/tapping evidence based?
100+ researchers worldwide, peer reviewed academic journals EFT has previously been found to be an “evidence-based” practice for anxiety, depression, phobias and PTSD when measured against the standards of the American Psychological Association’s Division 12 Task Force on Empirically Validated Treatments. EFT now currently under review with the APA (2022) for its effectiveness for trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (under the APA’s current criteria).
As of 2020: 18 randomised control trials, 50+ randomised control trials, 50+ pre-post outcome studies, 50+ trials in non-English journals
How will I benefit from participating in this event?
This is a unique opportunity to learn from the leaders in the field, and hear the evidence behind these techniques. You will walk away not just with knowledge and skill, but with a personal experience of HOW the techniques work. If you already have experience in mindfulness, meditation, mind-body techniques and EFT/tapping, this is a perfect opportunity to up skill, network and explore collaborative efforts.

I am new to EFT/ Tapping. Will I still benefit from attending?
Absolutely! You will learn about tapping from a newcomer’s perspective prior to the event with video content being emailed to those who have registered. Over the weekend you will develop sufficient knowledge to be able to commence using the technique yourself. We would encourage you to attend the Introduction to EFT/Tapping for Stress Relief Workshop on Sunday morning.

Is this event endorsed for CPD with the Australian College of Nursing (ACN)?
This event is endorsed by Australian College of Nursing (ACN) according to our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Endorsed Course Standards. It has been allocated CPD hours according to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Continuing Professional Development Standard.

As this event is being held over a weekend, I would like to bring my family. Are children able to attend? What activities are available for children?
While we support the idea of travelling with children and having family time, this 3-day event is best suited for people aged 15 years and over. In order to maximise your time and learning during the event, we strongly suggest you attend without younger children. There are no child-care facilities provided, and any teens attending with you will also need to purchase a registration to attend sessions.

I am travelling to your event from out of town, is accommodation available in close proximity?
Yes – There are a wide range of hotels in addition to the Sofitel to meet your accommodation needs.

I am travelling from overseas, is there specific information I need to know?
If you are travelling to Australia from overseas, there are important things you should know such as what visas to apply for and requirements for the visa application, your obligations while in Australia and information about complying with the conditions of your visa. Are meals included for attendees?
Morning tea is included in your ticket price, but in order to minimise increased registration costs, lunch can be purchased from multiple food outlets in the atrium attached to the venue, or if you prefer to BYO, please do so.
Do you have questions in relation to payment?
- If you have booked but not received your receipt via email, please check your Spam folders.
- We only offer payment via credit card as this has consistently proven to be the most efficient, popular and cost-effective means of handling online payments.
- We do not offer group or student discounts, only discounts available are our time-based booking windows, ‘super saver’, ‘early bird’ and ‘standard’. The earlier you book the lower the registration fee.

Are scholarships to the event available?
Yes, for those who would like to apply for a scholarship we are able to provide you with access to the full day plenary on Saturday 29th April, 2023 that is being live streamed. Please email [email protected] with the subject heading “Scholarship Request” and briefly outline the circumstances that have lead to your request.
Can I attend the event in person for one day only?
No. A one day option to attend in person is not available.
You may however attend one day only by purchasing the Virtual Day Pass. This will give you access to the full day plenary on Saturday 29th April, 2023 that is being live streamed. If you are unable to join live, you will receive the days recording.
